PANOLA COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

The FAA is traveling to East Texas once again after another small plane crash.

On Tuesday morning, just before 10, a Cessna 177 crashed into a wooded area after experiencing engine trouble, says an FAA official.

The Cessna crashed about four miles northeast of Carthage in Panola County.

One person was on board, but officials say there were no injuries in the crash.

At this point, the flight plan of the downed plane is not known, nor is the identity of the pilot.

The plane is registered out of Ottawa, Kansas.

The FAA is en route and will take over the investigation from local authorities.
