SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
A 3-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital after falling from a second-story apartment window.
It happened about 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Northwood Manner Apartments in the 2000 block of W. Algonquin.
Police say there is a bed next to a second floor window. The window was open but did have a screen. Officers think the boy leaned against the screen, and fell to the concrete patio below.
Shreveport Fire Department said the boy was bleeding from the head and mouth, but the extent of his injuries was unknown. He was taken to LSU Hospital. They did call this a significant fall.
Police are calling this an accident and no charges are expected.
