While most upcoming high school seniors are soaking up the summer sun, Loyola's Eric Ricard has been spending the bulk of his time on the links.
"Just countless amounts," said Ricard, a two-time 3A state champion in golf. "I've been trying to work on my game a lot and trying to gear up for all these tournaments, so it's definitely been a lot."
A three peat could be in the future as Ricard continues to hone his craft.
"They all make my job pretty easy and he and KT, Kurt Thomas, made it very easy because we had a great 1-2," said Steven Geter, Loyola's golf coach.
An LSU commit, Ricard is hoping to bring more of north Louisiana golfers with him to dominate the SEC in years to come.
"There's a lot of talent coming from here and it would be good to have more people that I'm familiar with to play on the same team as me."
