SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Police detectives say they have located a little boy who disappeared from his front yard in west Shreveport Sunday night.

According to police, at approximately 10:31 p.m. on July 22, 2012, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to a home in the 500 block of West 77th Street relative to a report of a missing child. Upon arrival, patrolmen learned that seven year old Charles Daniel, who was being watched by a family member while his mother was at work, had last been seen at about 8:00 p.m. playing in the front yard of the home he lives in there on West 77th Street.

When his mother arrived back at home around 9:00 p.m., Charles was no where to be found. The family looked for him around the neighborhood for an hour and a half and then called police.

Detectives were notified and searched for Charles since that time. Relatives told investigators Charles has never tried to run away before and they don't have any idea where he may have been.

Police checked all locations that Charles might have gone and ultimately found him at a nearby home at around 6:30 Monday morning, unharmed.
