SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Information from the Shreveport Police Department:
Police detectives have charged a local man in connection with a stabbing that occurred in Shreveport's Cedar Grove neighborhood late last month.
Authorities arrested 45 year old Kerwyn Price with out incident after he was identified as the suspect who stabbed 44 year old Tommy Hughes back on June 29, 2012 in the 500 block of East 71st Street.
Investigators believe the incident stemmed from an ongoing dispute between the two men regarding a woman with whom they have both apparently been romantically involved. Hughes, who was stabbed multiple times in the torso, was transported to LSUHSC by the Shreveport Fire Department with what were described at the time as non-life-threatening injuries.
Price, of Keithville, Louisiana, was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of attempted second degree murder. His bond has been set at $100,000.
