Two renters in custody following fire

GREENWOOD, LA (KSLA) -

Two renters are in police custody following an argument that allegedly led to a fire.

Caddo Parish sheriff's deputies say just before 2:30 p.m. Saturday firefighters responded to a fire at a trailer home in the 8700 block of Beavers Nest Drive in Greenwood. Fire investigators were at the home trying to determine an official cause when two renters were linked to the fire. "It started out as a civil manner between the occupants of the house and the landlord. So after that, we know a fire started somehow, and all of that is being investigated right now," says Caddo Parish Sheriff's Deputy Sgt. Carl Henderson.

Only a small section of the front of the home had minor damage. There was no damage to the inside of the home. Two dogs were taken from the home.

No charges have been filed.

We will have more details as they become available.
