SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A Shreveport girl who nearly drowned in June has been moved to a rehabilitation hospital.

Nine-year-old Shelby Patrick nearly drowned on June 2nd while she was at a pool party at the East Ridge Country Club.

According to the Patrick family's "Care page" Shelby was moved to Baylor Hospital in Dallas Wednesday. At this time, Shelby is in fair condition.

A fundraiser is being held Friday to help pay for medical expenses. The "Shop for Shelby" fashion show starts at 11 a.m. Twenty-five percent of all sales will be donated directly to her recovery fund.

The family is not sure still what kind of short and long term care Shelby will need. They have set up a donation account to help pay for her care. If you would like to donate, you can contact Progressive Bank at 318-213-5725.
