Cemetery gets makeover after KSLA News 12 report

BOSSIER PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

A Bossier Parish cemetery that was left overgrown has been cleaned up after a report that aired on KSLA News 12. We first told you about the cemetery, off Linton Road in Bossier Parish, two months ago.

KSLA News 12 went out to the site after receiving an email from an upset family member who has loved ones buried inside the small cemetery. We noticed overgrown weeds, budding trees and hidden gravesites inside the fenced in area.

Two months later the cemetery was cleaned up . Headstones were now visible and the grass had been mowed down. Piles of cut trees were laid outside the front gate in a large pile.

Because of our report and complaints to the Bossier Parish Sheriff's office, the parish took action and cut down the weeds and brush that hid this historic site.
