Double murder suspect from Natchitoches caught in WA

NATCHITOCHES PARISH, LA (KSLA) - A Natchitoches Parish double-murder suspect who escaped in January is back in custody.

30-year-old Renaldo Nargo was captured on June 13 by U.S. Marshals at his brother's home in Tacoma, Washington.

Back in late January of this year, Nargo was arrested and charged with killing two men in Campti. 32-year-old Stanley Brimzy was found with a fatal gunshot wound on Vaughn Street. Later, a second body was found by some folks walking along some nearby railroad tracks.

Nargo, who lived on Vaughn Street in Campti, was arrested a few days later. As he was being interviewed by deputies, another man was being brought in for attempted murder. Natchitoches Sheriff Victor Jones, Jr. said when deputies turned their attention to the just arrested suspect, Nargo, still in handcuffs, was able to get away.

Natchitoches Parish deputies and the Natchitoches Police Department began a massive search for Nargo. He remained missing until yesterday.
