BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -
Construction on the Margaritaville casino is taking shape near the Louisiana Boardwalk in Bossier City.
Developer William Trotter says construction on the resort-styled casino has been steady. " I think we're just a little ahead of schedule," says Trotter. "We're gonna pour the fourth floor of the hotel Friday."
The casino is expected to be up and running sometime in 2013. Developers are promising a big grand opening. They say Jimmy Buffett will make an appearance at the opening.
The casino will bring more than 1,200 jobs to Bossier Parish.
