The theft of copper wiring from a local motel parking lot has landed a Texarkana woman in jail, charged with felony theft.

Texarkana, Texas police were notified after an employee of D & D Builders, Inc. saw a woman steal a large amount of copper wiring from his work truck as it sat in a parking lot in the 5200 block of North Stateline Avenue just before 6:00 a.m. and notified police.

Based on the description of the suspect and her vehicle, officers realized they may know the identity of the suspect.
