Two murder suspects that escaped from the Miller County Jail Monday morning have been captured.
Police say around 6:45 p.m. Quincy Stewart, 35, and Cortez Hooper, 23, were found in a vacant home on Ferguson Street in Texarkana less than two miles away from the jail.
Police surrounded the area and searched several other houses before they found the escapees.
No one was injured and no shots were fired during the capture. Police found evidence in the home but are not releasing information at this time.
Hooper says the escape from the jail was not difficult. "No, it wasn't hard. It can be happening again. You know what I am saying? And it is they fault they officer is the one did it," says Hooper.
Hooper directed some of his words to his family saying, "Tell 'em I'm alright."
Both men were taken back to the Miller County Jail.
