MILLER COUNTY, AR (KSLA) -

Investigators have arrested the mother of one of the men who escaped from the Miller County Jail Monday morning.

Miller County, Arkansas investigators say Charlene Stewart, mother of escapee 35-year-old Quincy Stewart, was arrested Tuesday night for allegedly bringing the hacksaw that her son and 23-year-old Cortez Hooper used to escape from jail. Charlene Stewart is charged with furnishing an implement for escape.

Police say Charlene Stewart was an inmate at the Miller Co. Jail on May 21st and May 22nd for writing hot checks. Police say Charlene did not have any contact with her son while she was in jail. Police say they believe Charlene gave her son the hacksaw before she was an inmate.

Investigators say Hooper and Stewart are suspects in separate murder cases. Both men are still at large. They have been on the run for two days.

Anyone with information about where these men are located should call their local police department immediately.
