MAGNOLIA, AR (KSLA) -

The discovery of a Magnolia woman's body on Sunday morning is being investigated as a homicide.

The Magnolia newspaper's website, magnoliareporter.com, said the body of 74-year-old Glenda Stroman was found in her home at 1206 N. Dudley.

Magnolia Police Chief Glenn Maxwell told the paper officers got to the house just before 8 a.m. Investigators searched the home, a large storage building at the back of the property, and the backyard of a nearby home.

The chief did not say who found the body or when it was discovered. He also would not say when the homicide might have happened. "I can't give out any information right now. It might interfere with the investigation," he said.

"We're working it as a homicide. We don't have any leads as far as suspects. Given that bit of information, (the public) needs to conscious of what is going on and what has taken place in the community," Maxwell said.

Stroman's body was being sent to the Arkansas Crime Lab in Little Rock for an autopsy.
