Students at the Shreveport Fire Department are training in water rescues.  KSLA News 12's Fred Childers will have an up close look at what they learned and how it could save your life.

Search efforts continue for Mickey Shunick the 22-year-old Lafayette woman who went missing early Saturday morning. Friends, family, volunteers, and law enforcement officers have been looking for Mickey since Sunday with search efforts growing daily.

The percentage of Louisiana public school students reaching "basic" or better achievement levels on standardized tests grew from 66 percent to 68 percent this year, meaning roughly 10,000 more students were performing at grade level, state Education Superintendent John White said Wednesday. We'll tell you how local students did on those standardized tests.
