SHREVEPORT-BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -
A group of Ark-La-Tex bicyclists wants to remind motorists to share the road.
A special memorial service is set for Wednesday night in Shreveport to remember cyclists that have been injured on Shreveport-Bossier roadways in the past year.
The Shreveport Bike Club is hosting the event and it's scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Stoner Parking Lot, near the skateboard park.
According to the club, six to seven cyclists were involved in accidents in since this time in 2011.
Those victim's names will be read and their stories shared by family and friends.
Organizers want to remind attendees that the service is not a bicycle ride instead it's a memorial service.
