More good news for the Ark-La-Tex this month.
It came when RonPak founder, Ron Sedley announced he is moving his company from New Jersey to Shreveport-Bossier. When all is said and done, the company will have 275 employees here.
It's the kind of corporate investment we need, especially with the upcoming closure of the General Motors plant in Shreveport.
So what made it happen? Much of the credit goes to the North Louisiana Economic Partnership and a package of incentives put together by the State of Louisiana and local governments.
It's those multi-million dollar incentives that can make all the difference in landing a new company or losing one. It's great to see this kind of cooperation; the kind of cooperation needed to keep our community moving forward.
I'm James Smith.
