SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Shreveport police have identified the suspect involved in a weekend shooting in the Sunset Acres neighborhood.
Police say 23-year-old Jeremy Jackson has been identified as the gunman that shot 28-year-old Tyrone Youngblood Saturday afternoon. Police say the shooting happened around 3:45 p.m. in the 2700 block of Amherst Street after Jackson and Youngblood got into an argument. They say Jackson shot Youngblood several times before fleeing in a maroon car.
Youngblood was taken to LSU Hospital with gunshot wounds to his back and stomach. Police say he was taken into surgery. There is no word on his condition at this time.
Investigators say they have issued warrants charging Jackson with attempted murder and being a convicted felon with a gun.
