SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Shreveport police arrested a local man Wednesday afternoon in connection with a brutal 2009 murder.
Shreveport Police Department Sgt. Bill Goodin says investigators obtained an arrest warrant for 33-year-old Timothy Thomas charging him with 2nd degree murder in the shooting death of 33-year-old Shannon Golston. Goodin says Thomas allegedly shot Golston on September 14, 2009 at the Southern Village Apartments in the 3500 block of West 70th Street.
Goodin says Thomas was taken to the Shreveport City Jail with a bond of $750,000.
Goodin says police also found a handgun last week they believe was used in the shooting. Investigators say they expect to make more arrests in this case.
