QUEEN CREEK, AZ (CBS5) -
A cat trapped on a power line in Queen Creek for most of the day has at least eight lives left.
A Salt River Project worker on a cherry picker was able to safely pluck the cat from the wire just after 4 p.m.
Viewer-submitted photos showed the cat was perched on the wire just several paw steps away from the pole near the intersection of Signal Butte and Queen Creek.
The cat initially was on a hot line and then climbed down to a neutral wire, SRP said.
Neighbors grew concerned because hours went by before the animal could be saved, until SRP stepped in.
