SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

UPDATE: Four jurors were selected as of 4 p.m. Tuesday for the murder trial of Kimethia Coleman who is accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend over two years ago.

Jury selection began Monday in the murder trial for Kimethia Coleman, 26, the woman accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend over two years ago.

Coleman is charged with second degree murder in the stabbing death of U.S. Air Force Sgt. Brian Spinks.

It happened at the Quail Creek Apartments in Shreveport in January 2010.

The Caddo Parish District Attorney's Office says Coleman has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. Prior to this trial, Coleman has undergone at least two mental evaluations.  The first was back in July 2011, where a judge found her incompetent to stand trial.

Last week a judge heard testimony from two psychiatrists and later ruled her competent to stand trial. If convicted, she could face life in prison.
