SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
A Shreveport woman was stabbed and then arrested early Friday morning after police say she initiated a group fight at an apartment complex, over a Facebook post.
The incident happened just before 1 a.m. at the University Oaks Apartments, located in the 4700 block of Hilry Huckaby Dr. in the city's Martin Luther King Jr. neighborhood.
Shreveport Police questioned the victim, 20-year-old Sh'courtney Hall who was being treated for multiple cuts, but they say she was uncooperative.
Investigators later learned through others involved in the fight that Hall, along with 12 to 14 other people arrived at the apartments with intentions of fighting a woman who lived there. She's been identified by police as 21-year-old Ricquea George.
Authorities say the group came armed with knives, bats, hammers and guns.
A fight ensued, according to police, in which Hall, initially hit George in the face with a closed fist. In what appears to be an effort to defend herself, George armed herself with a knife and Hall was cut multiple times.
Following medical treatment, Hall was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on charges of simple battery.
Roughly one hour following the initial incident, police say, a second group of at least two people returned to the apartment complex in retaliation.
George, who was still at home, reportedly called police after the group began smashing windows out of a vehicle belonging to a family member, before fleeing the scene.
Those suspects are still at large.
