SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport Police responded to two unrelated shootings within minutes of each other today.

Just after 2 p.m., officers responded to a motel in the 5200 block of Monkhouse Drive where they found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg. They arrested two suspects, 19-year-old Arnonicka Washington and 17-year-old Darell Bell, both of Shreveport. The two teens are being charged with attempted first degree murder. Police are still looking for a third suspect and believe the incident occurred as the result of a botched robbery attempt that turned violent.

Moments later, police were called to Christus Schumpert hospital in reference to a woman with a gunshot wound to the stomach.

The victim said that she was accidentally shot in the stomach when she and her sister were playing with a handgun. When police returned to the home on East Jordan street to search for the weapon, they found three and a half pounds of marijuana and $3,000 in cash. The sister, Alicia Rhymes, 28, was arrested and charged with possession of schedule I with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm.
