Teachers canceling classes and head to the Capitol

Some Louisiana public school systems are canceling a day of classes while teachers prepare to head for the state Capitol, where battles are brewing over Gov. Bobby Jindal's education proposals.

Victor Stewart was originally indicted on two counts of aggravated rape, but pled guilty to reduced charges of attempted forcible rape. The two 20-year sentences will be served concurrently.

After a two-hour search, Shreveport Police say they've found a 16-year-old that escaped from the Caddo Parish Juvenile Justice Center early Tuesday morning.
