Body of missing 6-year-old found in Little River

MCCURTAIN COUNTY, OK (KSLA) -

After almost a week of searching, Oklahoma State Police confirm the body of six-year-old Dalton Lycklama was recovered just before 4:00 p.m Saturday afternoon.

OSP Captain Chris West says his body was found about a quarter-of-a-mile south of the spillway on the Little River just north of Wright City.

Dalton was fishing on the river with his father Steve and Devin on February 26 in an area about two miles north of Idabel when their boat capsized. Rescue workers recovered his father's body on Sunday, and Devin's body on Monday.

Crews from the McCurtain County Sheriff's Office, Broken Bow Fire and Rescue, and K9 teams from Red River Parish and the Bossier City Fire Department also assisted in the search.
