MCCURTAIN COUNTY, OK (KSLA) -

There are new developments in the search for six-year-old Devin Lycklama in the Little River just north of Wright City.

Search and recovery crews have homed in on a spot in the turbulent waters just below the spillway where the Oklahoma boy is presumed to have drowned on Sunday, along with his father and older brother.

Dalton was fishing on the river in an area about two miles north of Idabel with his father Steve and 8-year-old brother Devin when their boat capsized. Rescue workers have recovered Steve and Devin's bodies.

In the sixth day of searching for Devin, crews are focusing on the area where the family's capsized boat was originally found, just below the dam where the waters have been extremely turbulent.

Early Friday morning, K9 cadaver dogs from Little River County and the Shreveport Fire Department began hitting consistently on an area just below the dam, where the waters have been churning so violently, divers have been unable to safely enter the water to search for Dalton's body.

Search crews believe he may be trapped below the surface, among debris below the spillway.

Friday afternoon, Oklahoma Highway Patrol dive teams returned, and they are working with the Grand River Dam Authority and Army Corps of Engineers to get the waterway shut down upstream in hopes that divers can safely get closer to where they believe Dalton's body is trapped.

Crews from the McCurtain County Sheriff's Office, Broken Bow Fire and Rescue, and K9 teams from Red River Parish and the Bossier City Fire Department are also assisting in the search.
