One child's body has been recovered from the Little River, one day after his father's body was discovered in their submerged boat in McCurtain County, Oklahoma.
Steve Lycklama and his two sons, Devin and Dalton, were on the river Sunday when the boat is believed to have capsized.
Oklahoma State Police say fishermen spotted a boat partially underwater. When they pulled it to shore, they found Steve Lycklama's body underneath, his leg entangled in a chain.
Family members identified his body, and told police the children had been with him. That set off a search for the boys.
Officials have not identified which child was found just after Noon on Monday. Broken Bow Fire & Rescue, along with the McCurtain County Sheriff's Office and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol are still searching for his brother.
They say neither of the bodies were found wearing life jackets.
Police say the believe the boat was caught in a strong current and was pulled over a small waterfall. Officials say this is not the first time this section of the Little River has taken a life.
"They could have been saved if they had known a waterfall was there," says family friend Everett Hurley. "They can put a sign, they can put a cable up there, saying 'waterfall, careful, strong current,' but they didn't. There is no signs up there."
This is a developing story, and will be updated as developments warrant and details become available.
