SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - As part of Black History Month, KSLA News 12 spotlighted Leon Thomas, Jr.
Thomas was a Shreveport real estate pioneer. At one time, he was the oldest African American realtor in Shreveport. His father and great uncle were the first Blacks to get involved in real estate and they passed the business down to Thomas. Thomas played a major role in helping several other realtors begin their careers. Thomas played golf until he was 95-years-old. He passed away in October 2011 at 98-years-old.
