SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport Police continue to search for a car stolen by a man who was caught robbing a house, but got away with the victim's car.

Just before noon on Tuesday, police got a call to the 4000 block of N. Market St. about a home invasion. The homeowner told police he had just returned home from a trip to the grocery store when he found a man inside the house.

The victim says he was tied him up, his keys, cell phone and wallet taken. The suspect then drove away in the victim's car. Police think the burglar may have gotten into the house through an unlocked back door before he was interrupted.

The man is described as a black male, about 6'1'' - 6'2'' tall with a muscular build. He appeared clean-cut and was last seen wearing a leather jacket. The stolen car is a white 2009 Ford Fusion, with Louisiana license plate number 'SMU228'.

Anyone with any information regarding this crime is urged to contact robbery detectives at 318-673-6955 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
