SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Shreveport police are investigating a shooting death that left one man dead in the Highland neighborhood.
Shreveport Police Department Spokesperson Sgt. Bill Goodin says around 6:50 a.m. Sunday, police responded to report of a deceased person in the 2400 block of Holly Street. Police say when they arrived, they contacted a witness who reported walking on Holly Street just north of East Washington Street when he saw what appeared to be a male facing down in a wooded area. Goodin says police found the victim and discovered he had been shot multiple times.
Detectives are working to positively identify the victim and find out who is responsible for his death. Anyone with any information about this shooting should to call Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
