SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
UPDATE 1:45 p.m.: Shreveport Police say the exit ramp from I-220 eastbound to LA Hwy. 1 north is now open again to traffic.
Crews are still cleaning up an accident that has blocked an exit ramp from I-220 onto North Market Street.
The wreck happened about 8 a.m. when an asphalt truck heading east on I-220 got off the highway at the ramp to head north on North Market Street (LA Hwy. 1) when the trailer fell over, spilling the truck's load of asphalt.
Drivers heading east on I-220 that need to go north on LA Hwy. 1 should continue into Bossier City, turn around at the Benton Road exit, then come back west to on I-220 to LA Hwy. 1.
Police say no one was injured. It's not known how long the ramp will be blocked or why the truck flipped over.
