Spotlight on Black History: Frank G. Pogue

GRAMBLING, LA (KSLA) - As part of Black History Month, KSLA News 12 spotlights Dr. Frank G. Pogue.

In 2010, Pogue was appointed as the 8th president of Grambling State University. Pogue has had a long and distinguished 47-year career in higher education. In 1996, he became the first African American to serve as president of a historically white university, Edinboro University. Edinboro paid tribute to Pogue's extraordinary leadership by naming its newly constructed student center in his honor. Pogue has served in the capacity of interim president, vice-chancellor and dean of various colleges across the nation.
