Charges dropped for teen suspect in Vivian, LA robbery/ homicide

CADDO PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

A Caddo Parish grand jury returned a ‘No True Bill' Thursday, against a 16-year-old who had been arrested and charged with 2nd degree murder.

Ed Blewer, with the Caddo Parish District Attorney's Office confirmed the decision.

As of Thursday afternoon, Bernard Pogue, according to the Caddo Sheriff's Office had been released from custody.

Pogue was facing charges in the death of Kevin Sheppard on December 11th. According to investigators, Pogue was with another juvenile suspect when the homicide/robbery occurred.

Sheppard was shot and killed outside his home on Lowland St. in Vivian, Louisiana. Detectives said he was killed following a robbery and struggle.

Other cases related to the murder are still pending in juvenile court, according to the D.A.'s office.
