VIVIAN, LA (KSLA) -
A prayer vigil was held Tuesday night to mark the disappearance of Tracy Winslow one year ago.
KSLA News 12's Tracy Clemons spoke with family and friends that gathered for a candlelight vigil to honor Winslow's life and pray for her safe return. The vigil began at 6 p.m. at Temple of Deliverance Church in Vivian.
Tracy Winslow's mother, Maggie Winslow says she thinks about her daughter everyday. "I just want her home. I'm not mad with nobody. I just want my baby at home," says Maggie.
Family and friends paid tribute to Tracy and lit candles as they prayed for a miracle."I know God is going to expose everything. He's not going to allow anything to remain hidden. It's not going to go on forever. I don't believe she's going to be a statistic and never be found," said Felicia Holden-Starkes, family member.
Winslow, who would now be 31, vanished from the parking lot outside her mother's Oil City apartment around midnight January 23rd.
Her ex-boyfriend, Eddie Lee Jackson, is charged with her alleged kidnapping and with arson for reportedly setting her car on fire. Jackson is innocent until proven guilty, but the family says they have forgiven him for what they believe he did. "I just want him to know that we don't hate him. We hate what he's done. But I pray that he will find it somewhere in his heart to right his wrong," says Holden-Starkes."I hope he tells us what he did to her or where he left her. I wanna tell him I'm not mad with him. I still love him. But I think it's wrong what he did," says Maggie.
The family says they will continue to pray for Tracy's safe return.
Investigators say they are still following up on possible leads. Anyone with information that could help find Tracy Winslow is asked to call Caddo Parish Sheriff's investigators at 318-675-2170 or Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
