HAUGHTON, LA (KSLA) -
Haughton police added additional charges Monday evening against a Haughton man who was arrested Sunday for video voyeurism after investigators reviewed evidence obtained from his residence.
Police say 16 new counts of video voyeurism and four counts of pornography involving juveniles were added Monday, in addition to the one charge of video voyeurism, against 55-year-old Paul E. Holmes. The new charges came after investigators reviewed evidence that showed teenage girls and an adult female were videotaped on multiple occasions without their consent while in a bathroom at Holmes' residence during a youth group sleepover.
Police arrested Holmes after officers learned he had set up cameras in one of the bathrooms in his home that was used by teenage girls during a sleepover as part of a local church youth activity. Police say when one of the girls was in the bathroom, she noticed a camera and told her parents who then called the police.
Police say when they questioned Holmes, he admitted that he owned the video cameras that were in the bathroom.
Police say they will continue to review the evidence as they further the investigation. Holmes is still at the Bossier Maximum Security Facility with a upgraded bond of $270,000.
