Named one of the best gifts of 2011 by many online gift guides, an app created by Shreveport based Moonbot Studios now has a new title, "App of the Year." The honor came from Apps Magazine, a UK based technology magazine.
According to several gift guides, apps are a great last minute gift because they're instant, and other than the price of the app, free to send. Moonbot launched The Fantastic Flying Books of Morris Lessmore app in May, following the release of the animated short of the same name.
Developers said in May that plans for a hardback storybook are also in the works.
According to the Times UK, the app could soon be known as one of the most influential titles of the early 21st century.
