Voters in Bossier Parish approved a new riverboat casino, Rep. Barbara Norton held on to her LA House District 3 seat in the Louisiana Legislature and Lydia Jackson lost her Senate District 39 seat to her predecessor.
A statewide amendment prohibiting local governments from assessing additional taxes or fees outside the regular closing costs associated with the sale or transfer of immovable property also passed.
