CADDO PARISH, LA (KSLA) -
Tina Vanmoerkerque, a Caddo Parish woman, charged for her role in the murder-for-hire plot to kill an elderly Keithville, Louisiana man makes a court appearance Tuesday morning.
The 45-year-old woman is charged with 1st degree murder in the death of 73-year-old Ernest Luttrell and will appear in court for arguments and hearings.
The state is expected to push for the death penalty.
Vanmoerkerque was allegedly hired by the victim's wife, Loretta Luttrell, who is also in jail facing charges in connection to this case, to kill her husband.
Investigators believe Vanmoerkerque gave, her then boyfriend, Erick Crain money to kill Mr. Luttrell.
Craine is currently serving a life sentence after pleading guilty to killing Mr. Luttrell back in June.
Loretta is still awaiting trial.
Mr. Luttrell was found shot to death inside his home in the 12200 block of Greenwood Springridge Rd. in Keithville, back in July 2010.
