Ark-La-Tex Halloween 2011 Trick or Treat hours

Posted: Updated:

Ark-La-Tex children will crowd neighborhood streets Monday night for trick-or-treating. However, area law enforcement want to remind parents and children of their area curfew laws.

Because Halloween falls on a weekday this year, law enforcement across the area will treat the holiday as a normal day of the week.

Parents should be advised of the following curfews in place for Monday night.

In Shreveport - trick or treating may begin at dusk and last until 10 p.m., which is the regular curfew time for children under the age of 18-years-old.

In Bossier City - trick or treating may begin at dusk and it is advised or suggested by the Bossier City Police Dept. that trick or treating in Bossier should wrap up by 8 p.m. Police want parents and children to know that there are no penalties or consequences for being out longer than 8 p.m.

In Texarkana, Texas and Arkansas - trick or treating may begin at dusk and last until 11 p.m., which is the actual curfew law in place weekdays for both areas.

According to StormTracker Steve Parr, dusk falls on Halloween night at 6:26 p.m.

As always, area law enforcement encourage all Halloween participants to play it safe.
