CLAIBORNE PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

Homer Memorial Hospital is getting a little bigger.

On Thursday, the medical complex in Homer, La., broke ground on a six-bed intensive care unit.

In addition to the new ICU, the project also includes a remodeling of the medical and surgical nursing station along with the hospitals cafeteria.

The project is being funded by the Claiborne healthcare foundation.
