A one-vehicle crash in SE Oklahoma killed one person and sent two others to the hospital.
The accident happened just before 8 p.m. Sunday night on State Highway 3, about five miles north of Wright City in McCurtain County.
State Police say a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Martin Chadwick Vaughn from Idabel, OK was heading west when for some reason he ran off the right side of the highway, hit several small trees and rolled over. Vaughn and two other passengers were thrown from the vehicle.
Vaughn died at the scene. 28-year-old Jason Paul Willingham of Idabel was taken to McCurtain Memorial Hospital and was last listed in serious condition. 17-year-old Laramie Bell Duncan was airlifted to St. Michaels Hospital in Texarkana and was last listed in stable condition.
State Police say none of the occupants were wearing their seat belts, and that the trooper did detect an odor of alcohol on the driver.
