LONGVIEW,TX (KLTV)- An Upshur county fire is being looked at as possibly accidental, but arson has not been ruled out. Around noon yesterday, a wildfire was reported in a heavily wooded area of Upshur county, off Grouse road , between Goldfinch road and Kingfisher road. Crews say brisk winds stoked the fire , which threatened dozens of home in the area. Texas forestry service bulldozers were used, and a helicopter. Fire investigators say a possible cigarette may have caused the blaze, , but because there were two burn areas a mile apart, they are saying it could have been intentionally set, but many of them remain undetermined. Around 8 acres were burned. No homes were damaged. And the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
