Summer vacation has come to an end for our kids and our break from driving quickly through school zones is also over.
Just as we prepare our children to return to class with new backpacks, uniforms and school supplies, as motorists we also have to prepare ourselves.
As you drive your neighborhood and city streets, pay attention to school zones. Remember, during school hours, you'll need to reduce your speed.
Another concern, school buses stopping to pick up or drop off children. That's when many accidents occur.
We should always practice safe, defensive driving, but it's more important than ever now as the summer break comes to an end and our children are back in school.
I'm James Smith.
