Looking for some fun events happening in your area on July 4th? Here are a few events provided by the Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.

God Bless America Again" – 14th Annual Patriotic Program & Fireworks

Temple Baptist Church, in Ruston, produces a wonderful patriotic program and fireworks show each year.  On Saturday, July 2, the patriotic program begins at 7:30 p.m.  Then on Sunday, July 3, the patriotic program begins at 7:30 p.m. followed by a dazzling fireworks show.  The patriotic program features a Parade of Flags by Area Veterans, Patriotic Sing Along, Special Candle lighting Ceremony, special music by solo artists choirs and orchestra, multi-media presentations, and the program is narrated by Rev. Jerry Whitman.  Admission to the patriotic program and fireworks show is free.

The areas along the Interstate 20 Service Road will be filled with families on Sunday evening to watch the fireworks.  Please drive slow and watch out for children.

"Fireworks Over Lake D'Arbonne" set for Saturday

The Union Parish Chamber of Commerce will present "Fireworks Over Lake D'Arbonne" in Farmerville on July 2, near the Hwy. 33/15 bridge. A flotilla of decorated boats will launch at 7 p.m. and tour the lake until 8:30 p.m. Ceremonies and the pyrotechnic display will commence at 8:45 p.m. For best viewing, the public can gather at Lake D'Arbonne Motel, Ludwig Marine, ramp road, and along the highway. Music will be provided by DJ Shannon Futch beginning at 7 p.m.  A prize will be awarded to the best-decorated boat.  For flotilla information, call 318-243-9050.
