Two arrested in west Shreveport shooting

Shreveport, LA (KSLA) – An early morning shooting in west Shreveport left a vehicle damaged by gunfire and landed two suspects in jail.

Shreveport Police were called in around 4:30 a.m. to the 4100 block of Jacobs Street. A man told officers a verbal altercation between him and 47-year-old Peter Kennedy had escalated, that's when Kennedy produced a handgun and shot the windshield of the victim's truck.

Police also arrested 58-year-old Lillie Shepard, after they discovered a handgun hidden in her bra. Officers believe the concealed weapon recovered from Shepard's undergarment was the gun used by Kennedy to shoot the victim's vehicle.

Kennedy was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of illegal use of a weapon. Shepard was also booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of illegal carrying of weapons.
