We didn't need mainstreet.com to tell us Louisiana has the worst roads in the country, but it confirmed what we've been experiencing.
According to the report, Louisiana has roads in the poorest condition, our bridges are deficient, a high number of traffic fatalities and in many areas; our roads are highly congested.
All this adds up to the dubious distinction of the reputation for the Worst Roads in America.
This stretch of Interstate 20 through Bossier City and Shreveport is one reason we made the list. I don't think there is a flat piece of highway in site. If you drive this on a daily basis you know exactly what i'm talking about.
Every cloud has a silver lining. One of the benefits of having the worst roads in the country is that you get more federal money to fix them up. Of course, road projects take time, so we will all just have to be patient.
Let me know what you think. I'm James Smith.
