BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) - A safety checkpoint was conducted in Bossier City Tuesday afternoon and more than two dozen citations were issued.
According to Bossier City Police, between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. the checkpoint was set up in the 100 block of John Wesley Blvd.
Officers reportedly checked a total of 291 vehicles.
29 citations were handed out for no seatbelts, police said. Also five citations were given out to motorists whose children passengers were not properly restrained and nine other non-moving violation citations were issued.
Police say the checkpoint was funded by a grant distributed through the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.
