Shreveport Police arrest man after suffering stab wound

Shreveport, LA (KSLA)- Shreveport Police responded to a stabbing call that happened in the early morning hours of Sunday.

It happened around 2 am at the Mikado Apartments in the 3000 block of Samford Street.

When police arrived, they found the victim, also the suspect Eric Robinson, suffering from a single stab wound to the left pectoral area.

Further investigation revealed Robinson and his girlfriend were involved in a verbal argument earlier in the evening, and escalated to a physical point of causing Robinson's girlfriend to stab him one time in the shoulder.

Shreveport Police charged Robinson with Domestic Abuse Battery/Strangulation.  He has been admitted to LSUMC for treatment and will be booked in jail after his release from the hospital.
