Bossier Parish murder showcased on Discovery Channel

BOSSIER PARISH, LA (KSLA) - An Ark-La-Tex murder that happened more than five years ago is being showcased on national television.

The June 2001 murder of Vol "Bubba" Dooley, III will air Thursday night on the Investigation Discovery channel as part of a new series called "Sins and Secrets", the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office reports.

Dooley was the son of former Bossier Parish Sheriff, Vol Dooley. Back in June 2001, Dooley was murdered by his wife. Deputies say he was shot at his home in Bossier Parish and then his wife and two accomplices buried him in Caddo Parish in a makeshift grave.

Dooley's wife, Jocelyn Dooley is right now serving a life sentence in a south Louisiana prison. To this day, deputies say she still denies she killed her husband.

"Sins and Secrets" will air on Thursday, March 10, 2011, at 9:00 p.m. on DirecTV, channel 285, Suddenlink, channel 104, and Comcast Cable (the digital package), channel 111.
