Shreveport Police looking for purse snatcher

Shreveport, LA(KSLA)- Shreveport Police detectives looking for a suspect in connection with a purse snatching that happened last week in southeast Shreveport.

The incident happened on February 18 around 10:50 pm, in the TCBY parking lot located in 1700 block of East Bert Kouns Industrial Loop.

An elderly female victim told officers she was walking out of the TCBY when a white male approached her and grabbed her purse. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.

Police were unable to locate the suspect who is described to be approximately 5'10" inches tall with a slim build, with numerous tattoos on his arms, forearms and chest, and was wearing a white tank top style t-shirt at the time of the crime.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $600 reward for information leading to the arrest of this suspect.
